Drill Towards Tomorrow by Hardedge-Maelstrom Drill Towards Tomorrow by Hardedge-Maelstrom
"Your drill is a drill that will pierce the heavens!"

Yet another watercolour painting! This time of Gurren Lagann in its most iconic pose from the anime, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann! Freakin' brilliant series, probably the best I've seen in a long time :) Had a lot of fun doing this one :P

I originally wanted the spiral flame to spiral up further, but my sheet of paper was too small xD Should've used a bigger sheet ^^;

The drill that will pierce the Heavens, the Earth, and through to tomorrow. There's no time to mess around in the past --

-- The future's not very good at waiting patiently.

Awesome work. Simple badassery.

I personally enjoy how the spiral is cut off x: it leaves some to the imagination and really helps fill the composition of the picture

but yes, the best pose <3 and there's so much energy in this too..watercolor always adds a certain fluidity to images

Impressive watercolor skills. I'm playing around with watercolors right now (for art class) and I think it's one of the best media, in terms of paint. Of course, pens and markers are always the easiest to use, but, your painting looks really good.
